Welcome to Colorado, Go.
Whether you are new to the state or a (lucky) Colorado native, we are excited to have you here!
Thanks to the opportunities and freedoms we have to offer, Colorado is quickly becoming the go-to state to create your best life.
Whether you’re looking to build a business, provide for your family or take advantage of new opportunities, Colorado is the place to go.
Here’s why Colorado is going in the right direction:
The Colorado story is one of people rising to achieve great things. In the last few years, our state has made strides to create a business-friendly environment, let taxpayers keep more of the money they earn and establish a competitive job market. These are just a few reasons Americans from all over the country are choosing to call Colorado home!
Together we can keep finding innovative solutions that help our state thrive. Whether you’re starting a new business, establishing a career, or looking for ways to do good in your community, we believe in breaking the barriers that stand in your way to create a better society for everyone.
Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights
Colorado protects its citizens’ hard-earned dollars through the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR). Through TABOR – a constitutional amendment- government spending is reined in by making sure voters approve any tax or revenue increase over a designated cap.
If the state takes in revenue beyond that cap, TABOR requires the government to return that money to citizens. No wonder the Colorado economy is growing and thriving!
The more money we can keep and spend, the brighter the future for Colorado.
Energy serves as one of the largest building blocks in Colorado’s economy. The energy industry attracts new businesses, creates jobs and creates more revenue for the state.
Through our open and free economy, Colorado can continue harnessing the power of all forms of energy and looking to the future for innovative ideas.
Criminal Justice Reform
We believe in partnering with a broad coalition of individuals and organizations to build the strongest and safest communities we can. That means looking to everyone in our society to contribute and earn their success.
Colorado is at the forefront of rethinking criminal justice and establishing a new approach to re-entry. We believe re-entry should be an opportunity to help individuals reintegrate into society, not a never-ending cycle of recidivism.
Those who pay their debt to society deserve a second chance—one that’s denied to too many people today. Those with criminal records who genuinely wish to get back on their feet and build a better future should have the opportunity to do so.
Colorado’s best days are still ahead, and immigrants are eager to contribute. Our country has enjoyed unparalleled success by welcoming people from around the world who seek to make a better life for themselves and their families.
Welcoming immigrants enriches Colorado with new ideas and empowers us all to drive progress, innovation and opportunity.
The purpose of K-12 education is to help students discover, develop, and apply their unique abilities, establishing a foundation for a life of contribution and fulfillment. All students should have access to a quality education that helps them move forward on the path to realizing their full potential. Here in Colorado your kids have this opportunity through open enrollment, so that you can pick the education that is right for your child.
